Hopkins has signed with Decca Classics for a new recording project, marking a significant milestone in his career. The album, titled "Life Is a Dream," will feature compositions spanning over six decades, showcasing his evolution as a musician. The first single, "Bracken Road," is a nostalgic piece inspired by his childhood memories of Margam, South Wales, painting a musical portrait of the landscapes that surrounded his family home in the 1940s.
This is not Hopkins' first foray into music. He has been playing the piano since the age of four and started composing for local plays as a teenager. His dedication to music is evident in his statement, "Music was my first desire, my first wish. I’ve been composing music all my life. Some of these pieces have lived with me for decades and I still find myself returning to them."
